At approximately 8:15pm, Jake peed on the potty for the first time!
To celebrate, we had a Potty Party! We danced around and yelled and sang; it was a blast!
Jake had been walking around naked from the time he got up from his nap. Then, he walked into the room and said, "Mommy, I want to sit on the potty." I said, "Okay! Let's go! I'll pee with you!" We both sat on the potties and as soon as he heard me going (sorry for the mental picture), he went. Then he jumped up and looked down in the potty. Low and behold, there was pee in there! Whoo-hoo! Potty Party time! Yay!
Then we called Grandma and Grandpa to tell them. (We couldn't call Nanny and Pappy or Aunt Sandy because it was too late on the East Coast.) Jake was so proud of himself, as are we!
