Jake had his three-year check-up today. He's 38 1/2 inches tall and 36 lbs.!
Jake is so used to getting a shot every time he goes to the doctor that he's now afraid of going. Needless to say, he wasn't happy about being there. What was once a peaceful trip to the doctor, has turned into screaming and fear. Again, this time, they wanted to give him a shot -- Hepatitis. I told them "No". It's just ridiculous. The poor kid is deathly afraid of going there now. The doctor said the Hepatitis shot can wait until his next check-up at age 4. I opted for that option.
The doctor did mention that Jake has ver advanced speaking skills. That was nice to hear. She also mentioned that his memorizing of books is pretty unique. Although many kids can memorize parts of books or short songs, it's rare that they can memorize entire books -- 10+ pages of unique words. I guess Jake's well on his way to reading!
